Happy Halloween!

This week, we have the world known celebration of Halloween. It occurs on Wednesday, October 31st.

Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

In the 8th century, Pope Gregory III designated November 1st as a time to honor all saints; soon, All Saints Day incorporated some of the traditions of Samhain. The evening before was known as All Halloween Eve, and later Halloween.

Over time, Halloween evolved into a day of activities like trick-or-treating, carving jack-o-lanters, festive gatherings, donning costumes and eating sweet treats.

This year, we celebrate Halloween at school by going to the cinema to watch a VO film with the morning and another with the afternoon groups.

Enjoy it and HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEN!!!!!
